The second day, which marked the final session of the Annual Academic Conference (An-Nadwah) 2026, built upon the intellectual and spiritual foundations laid on Day One. While the first day focused on the need for reform in Islamic jurisprudence, the concluding session broadened the discussion to the global relevance, divine support, and enduring impact of the Promised Messiah (as).
The session commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Mosaku Firdaus. This was followed by a Qasidah rendition by Badmus Masroor Ahmad.
The opening address was delivered by the Chairman, Maulana Adnan Tahir Sahib, Missionary in Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of recognizing the divine mission of the Promised Messiah in the present age and urged participants to reflect deeply on the discussions of the conference. He explained that, one of the greatest signs of the Promised Messiah (as) is how Allah spread his message across the world despite the humble beginning in Qadian. It was through Allah’s Help. He then emphasized that true benefit lies not only in listening but in internalizing and applying the teachings presented.
The first lecture, titled “Divine Signs and Global Impact: The Promised Messiah’s Prophecies of World Events,” was delivered by Maulvi Tariq Mahmoud Sahib. He explained that throughout history, Allah has never left humanity without guidance, and that the advent of the Promised Messiah was in fulfilment of prophecies concerning the latter days. He presented a detailed analysis of the prophecies made by the Promised Messiah, categorizing them across social, political, and global dimensions.

Particular attention was given to prophecies concerning natural disasters, epidemics, and major global conflicts. He cited examples such as the increase in earthquakes, the outbreak of widespread diseases, and the occurrence of devastating world wars, demonstrating how these events unfolded in line with earlier warnings. He emphasized that these are not random occurrences, but meaningful signs that both establish the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah and serve as warnings for humanity to turn back to righteousness.
He further highlighted that alongside these warnings were glad tidings regarding the spread and progress of the Jama’at, noting that despite humble beginnings, the message of the Promised Messiah has reached different parts of the world, fulfilling earlier prophecies about its global expansion.
The second lecture, “Hakamun-‘Adlun in Contemporary Context: The Institutional and Global Significance of the Promised Messiah,” was delivered by Mukarram Qasim Oyekola Sahib. In his presentation, he focused on the practical manifestation of the Promised Messiah’s mission through the structure and activities of the Jama’at. He highlighted the significant transformations brought about by the Jama’at in religious understanding, organization, and outreach.

He further explained that the concept of Hakamun-‘Adlun (the Just Arbiter) is not merely theoretical, but continues to guide the Jama’at in addressing contemporary religious challenges, resolving differences, and presenting Islam in a balanced and unified manner on the global stage. The lecture emphasized the continued relevance of this divine institution in shaping both individual conduct and collective progress.
The session also featured remarks from esteemed guests, including representatives such as the Sadr Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria and the Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, among others. Their remarks acknowledged the depth and relevance of the conference discussions and encouraged participants to carry forward the knowledge gained.

The event was attended by a wide range of notable personalities, including the Sadr Lajna Imaillah, Director of Studies (MITC), the Principal of Ahmadiyya Science College, Ilaro, central and circuit missionaries, coordinators and lecturers of the Hafiz and Hafizah classes, as well as numerous members of the Jama’at.
The programme concluded with closing prayers, bringing the conference to an end on a note of gratitude and renewed spiritual commitment.
