The Annual Academic Conference of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria for 2024 commenced with great enthusiasm, focusing on the legacy and spiritual contributions of Hazrat Musleh Maoud (ra). This year’s conference is themed “Fazl-e-Umar: A Spiritual Reflection of Hazrat Umar (ra),” drawing parallels between the remarkable qualities of Hazrat Musleh Maoud (ra) and the illustrious legacy of Hazrat Umar (ra).
The conference coincides with the commemoration of Musleh Maoud Day, an occasion that celebrates the fulfillment of the divine prophecy given to the Promised Messiah (as) regarding a promised son. This prophecy highlighted that the Promised Son would possess extraordinary qualities, serve as a devoted servant of Islam, live a long and impactful life, and carry forward the mission of the Promised Messiah (as).
The opening session featured an engaging and thought-provoking interactive discussion on “The Prophecies about Hazrat Musleh Maoud (ra).” Details of the divine revelations surrounding the prophecy about Hazrat Musleh Maud were discussed, examining how each aspect was magnificently fulfilled in the life of Hazrat Musleh Maoud (ra). This session highlighted his remarkable contributions to the progress of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, his devotion to the Holy Quran, and his exemplary leadership in guiding the community toward spiritual and moral excellence.
The theme “Fazl-e-Umar: A Spiritual Reflection of Hazrat Umar (ra)” sheds light on the similarities between Hazrat Umar (ra), the second Caliph of Islam, and Hazrat Musleh Maoud (ra), the second Caliph of the Promised Messiah (as). Both leaders exhibited outstanding administrative acumen, deep spiritual insight, and an unwavering commitment to the propagation of Islamic teachings. The conference sessions aim to explore these parallels and inspire students with lessons from their lives.
Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria’s Annual Academic Conference continues to serve as a platform for intellectual growth, spiritual reflection, and the revival of historical and theological knowledge within the community. The program also featured additional sessions, panel discussions, and scholarly presentations, enriching participants with insights into the faith, leadership, and the divine blessings of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
