On October 19, 2024, Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria held Jalsa Seerat-un-Nabi to commemorate the extraordinary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. The event kicked off at 10 am in the school hall with a recitation from the Holy Quran and a captivating poem penned by the Promised Messiah, praising Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa .
The chairman, Alhaji Abdul Azeez A. Hameed delivered the opening address, setting the stage for the day’s proceedings. Two distinguished guest speakers presented papers during the event.
The first presentation, “The Holy Prophet Muhammad: A Manifestation of Divine Attributes,” was delivered by Mukarram Abdus Sobur Oladejo, Central Missionary of Ilaro Circuit. He eloquently explained the concept of Tajalli (Divine manifestation) in Islam and how the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) epitomized this manifestation. Using examples from the Prophet’s life, he urged the audience to emulate these noble qualities of Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).
The second paper, “The Holy Prophet Muhammad: A Prophet of All Times,” was presented by Mukarram Abdul Fatah Edun, Circuit Missionary of Owode. This insightful presentation delved into the universal aspect of the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet, emphasizing prophecies of his coming in various world scriptures and underscoring his role as a model for the entire world.
Furthermore, students of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria presented beautiful poems in praise of the Holy Prophet during the interlude.
Hafiz Syed Shahid Ahmed sahib, the respected Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria, in his concluding address emphasized the importance of holding on to the exemplary life and examples of the Holy Prophet, reminding everyone that the event of Seeratun Nabi serves as a reminder of the Prophet’s life rather than a mere celebration. He advised that, for a successful life for any believer, one must obey Allah and Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him).
The program concluded with a closing prayer, and it was attended by all students and staff of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria.
