By the special grace of Allah, Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria held its graduation ceremony on Saturday, 28th June 2025, at the institution’s premises. The event marked the successful completion of academic and spiritual training for 14 newly graduated missionaries.

The ceremony was presided over by the respected Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaj Abdul Azeez Folorunso Alatoye Sahib. In his opening address, Amir Sahib exhorted the graduating missionaries to remain firmly attached to the blessed institution of Khilafat and serve humbly as devoted followers of the Khalifah.

He referenced the historic convocation address delivered by His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper), Khalifatul Masih V, at the Jamia Ahmadiyya International Convocation held in Haslemere, UK, on Sunday, 4th May 2025. This convocation included graduates from the UK, Germany, Canada, and Ghana. Amir Sahib encouraged the graduates to study and internalize the wisdom contained in that address and other sermons of Huzoor (ABA), and to let them guide their lives in service.

The Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Hafiz Syed Shahid Ahmed Sahib, presented the institution’s annual report. He highlighted key achievements and activities across educational, sporting, and Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya programs throughout the year.

Certificates were then presented to the graduates, along with awards for outstanding performance in academics and sports. Brother Qazeem Abdur Raf’ee emerged as the Best Graduating Student. The award for Best Project was shared by Yunus Alhasan and Folaranmi Abdur Rasheed. Oduola Abdus Somad received the honor as the Exemplary Student of the year and Badmos Masroor Ahmad as the Best Academic Student of the Year. Other awards were also presented in recognition of excellence in various competitions.

Award of excellence was also presented to three of Jamia lecturers who have been redeployed from Jamia, the award was presented to them by the Amir sahib for their meritorious services throughout their services in Jamia. They are Mu’allim Jubril Muzaffar sahib, Mu’allim Abdul Azeez Abdul Jeleel and Mu’allim Sulaiman Ogunkanmi Sahib.

Following this, the Missionary-in-Charge, Maulvi Adnan Tahir Sahib, delivered admonition, urging the new missionaries to remain conscious of their sacred responsibilities and to always handle both information and interpersonal relationships with diligence and wisdom.

Guest remarks followed, starting with the Sadr Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria, Alhaj Dauda A. Raji Sahib, who encouraged the graduates to maintain a cooperative spirit with the elders (Ansarullah) in their respective Jama’ats, emphasizing the crucial role elders play in the strength and progress of the Jama’at.

Similarly, the Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Mr. Roqeeb Akinyemi, urged the graduates to build upon their zeal and maintain a high level of activeness in their fieldwork. He commended Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria for its outstanding performance, particularly for winning the Best Muqam award during the last National Ijtema.

The event was graced by several other dignitaries, including Naib Amir Sahib, the Sadr Lajna Imaillah Nigeria, the Principal of Ahmadiyya Science College Ilaro, the Head of Masroor Technical College Ilaro, coordinators of Hafiz and Hafizah classes, and many other respected personalities.

The memorable event concluded with a silent prayer led by Amir Sahib, followed by group photographs and a display of brotherhood and joy among all attendees.
