Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria hosted a significant writing seminar organized by Majlis Ansar Sultanul Qalam (MASQ), on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Baitun Nasir Mosque within the Jamia campus. The program brought together Jamia students, members of MASQ, and participants from the Ahmadi Muslim Students Association of Nigeria (AMSA), Federal Polytechnic Ilaro branch, and Masroor International Technical College (MITC), comprising both male and female attendees.
The seminar was chaired by the Sadr, Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, Nigeria Al-Hafiz Abdur Rofeeq Alaka, who was represented by Mr. Saheed Idowu, State Qaid, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Ogun Ilaqa. In his remarks, the chairman commended MASQ for organizing a timely and purposeful program and for strategically hosting it at Jamia—an institution dedicated to training future missionaries and scholars of the Jama’at. He urged participants to listen attentively and maximize the opportunity.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of MASQ Nigeria, Mu’allim Sulaiman Tasleem, highlighted that the aim of the seminar was to equip participants with the necessary skills to write in defence and propagation of Islam. He stressed that in today’s world, marked by increasing misconceptions and moral decline, Muslims must not remain silent but should respond through effective and impactful writing.
The seminar featured three structured lectures delivered by experienced scholars. The first lecture was delivered virtually by Maulvi Yussuff Abdul Khaliq Sahib via Zoom, focusing on key perspectives in Islamic writing and intellectual engagement. The second lecture was presented by Mr. Abdussalam Abdurrofeeq Sahib on the Jama’at’s Tasneef standards, emphasizing clarity, consistency, and adherence to established writing principles. The third lecture was delivered by Maulvi Nasir Khalilur Rahman Sahib, who further expounded on writing methodologies of the Promised Messiah and the role of writers in advancing the mission of Islam.
The program commenced at 10:20 a.m. and concluded at 3:00 p.m., with a break to watch the address of Huzoor (aba) during the Jamia Graduation Ceremony. The seminar also accommodated virtual participants via Zoom.
Notable personalities in attendance included Alhaji Abdur Rahman Busari Sahib, Acting Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria; Maulvi Oladejo Abdus Sobur, Central Missionary of Ilaro/Oja Odan Circuits; Jamia lecturers; Ilaro Dil’a Qaid Hafiz Mansoor Ilo; and other respected guests.
The seminar further strengthened Jamia’s role as a hub for academic training and missionary development.
